Your Kids Will Go NUTS when They See These Adorable treats!

Do you remember having “Ants on a log?” where peanut butter was spread in celery sticks and a few raisins were added. For some reason I hadn;t thought of that for years until coming across this recipe. I think allowing kids to make things in the kitchen ins such a confidence builder.

Try it. See what happens when you spwnd time in the kitchen with those you love!

Plain Rice Cakes

  • 2 Tbsps peanut butter
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 apple, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Cheerios
  • Small piece of cantaloupe

Instructions

  1. Spread peanut butter on each rice cake.
  2. Top rice cake with 2 banana slices for eyes, and top each banana slice with 1 blueberry.
  3. Next add a small piece of cantaloupe cut into the shape of a triangle for the beak.
  4. Then, two apple slices for the wings.
  5. Finally, add cheerios for the body.

Get as creative as you want with these. Feel free to switch out ingredients for different fruits.

Quick Tip: Have a big group of kids? Put the ingredients for each owl on a paper plate in frint of them and allow them to create their own masterpiece.
