Heavenly Goodness with every bite of this Angel Food Cake!

My mom loved Angel Food Cake. When I was growing up I remember seeing the Angel food cake pan upside down on the counter so it could cool without totally collapsing.

When the cake would be turned over after totally cooled the bottom piece had usually been pulled off. My mom was the guilty party. It was just too tempting, the light and airy cake that melted in your mouth.

Se used to serve it with strawberries and whipped cream as well. So light and yet so memorable.

This recipe rinds me of my mom and all the desserts she used to make.  I think she will like this one just as much.

Quick Tip: I have made cake rolls before. It seems like a huge task but really it isn’t too hard. Just make sure you have a nice clean towel, sprinkled with powdered sugar.

The reason you “pre-roll” is so that the cake will have a type of muscle memory. After it is cool, and you unroll it to fill, it will want to go back to its rolled shape.
