I grew up near a place called “Apple Hill” and worked at one of the many orchards every apple season. There were so many varieties and so many uses for this super versatile fruit.

While I am a big fan of fruit, I love apples, either raw and crunchy, or cooked into pies, muffins, and baked. While I have several of my favorite recipes, this is a new one I just came across and looks quick and easy.

We end up having company. A lot. I love being able to serve up something yummy and homemade, but that isn’t always easy at a moments notice. Ree Drummond’s Apple tart might just be one of the best solutions for last minute dessert ideas.
