There is nothing like sinking you fork into a plate of comfort food to just make whatever troubles you are having disappear.

Growing up, my mom made Mac and Cheese a lot. The home cooked creamy goodness was comfort food, even as a kid.

I didn’t know that Mac and Cheese were something people often made from a box until I was almost an adult. When I tried the artificial tasting cheese food dish I knew it was NOT the same dish my mom used to make.

While this recipe might be a little bit harder than boiling water and stirring a powdered mix into small macaroni, your family will thank you.
