Camp Food Cuisine So Delicious and Simple, You Will Want To Make This At Home!

We have made this several times. When we have gone camping, one of the things I have done is put together our packets and toss them in the freezer. If you are going to be gone for a few days it is nice to know that the chicken won’t spoil before you cook it. Packing frozen food and having a plan for eating simple meals made camping so much easier.

And the best part? NO mess! After we ate the packets, we tossed the foil away.

Campground Potato Packets

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb New Red Potatoes
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1-2 tbsp Worchestershire Sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice potatoes and onion into ⅛ – ¼” slices.
  2. Place on piece of aluminum foil large enough to fold over and to be able to roll up edges.
  3. Top with garlic, butter, Worchestershire and cayenne.
  4. Fold packet over and roll edges to close.
  5. Leave on medium grill for 30 to 35 minutes.
  6. optional ~ top with chopped fresh chives, butter, or sour cream.

Quick Tip: If you want to make these and don’t have a fire pit or grill go ahead and pop them into a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
