Worried About What You Will Bring To The Next Potluck Or Get Together? Try This Award Winning Recipe!

Don’t you hate it when you are at a loss of what to bring to a get together and end up being one of 8 people who thought they would be creative and bring a sliced up watermelon. That has been me on more occasions than I can count. One time I showed up as a potluck with a number 10 can of peaches and a can opener. Seriously, that was not my finest culinary moment. BUT that is changing. A recipe like this is a great stand by for whatever comes along. And you can keep most of the ingredients on hand in your pantry just in case something comes up at the last minute.

Waikiki Crock Pot Barbeque Beans

  • 2 tablespoons chopped bacon
  • 1 18-oz bottle BBQ sauce used Stubb’s Hickory Bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup water OR reserved pineapple juice

Instructions

    1. Add everything to a 4-5 quart slow cooker and stir until well combined.
    2. Cook on low for 4 hours
    3.  Stir.
    4. Serve garnished with chopped green onions, if desired.

Quick Tip: If you need these beans ready sooner, go ahead and put in an oven safe pan, like a Dutch Oven. Simmer with lit on for 20 minutes. Put in oven until time to serve.
