This Banana Cake definitely has it’s A-PEEL :~D

I love the smell of banana bread being baked. In fact I usually bake up several batches at once since it take a while to bake and really, who wants to heat up the oven for just one loaf?

Whenever it was a cool morning, instead of turning on the stove, I would often just bake something instead. I guess you could say our home was literally warmed by fresh cookies and breads!

The taste of banana is such a classic for our family. We buy a lot of bananas. I know they get eaten quickly at a meal or even dipped in peanut butter for a quick snack.

My problem is that I rarely have bananas around long enough to get speckled so when we do I either bake something right away, or peel them and put into the freezer for smoothies of breads.

What about you? Did you grow up eating bananas? If so this will be a nostalgic taste of childhood.

This is what Jaclyn of Cooking Classy has to say about this amazing recipe.

When I see that I have overripe bananas I can’t help but get excited because it always gives me an excuse to make some kind of banana bread or dessert.

Quick Tip: You can also make these into cupcakes for easy serving. Not having to have a fork or plate? How simple is that!

Take the stress out of dinner with this recipe.

I remember the first time I tried Alfredo sauce. It came in a jar and was really salty and runny.

Not a good first impression for sure. In fact, I don’t think I ever put Alfredo ANYthing on the menu for years.

Until I learned how to make the sauce myself from scratch using real ingredients.

Once I saw how super easy it was I can’t believe anyone would ever buy a jar of sauce again!

And as  much as I love the thought of stuffed shells, there are several types of pasta that work as well.

So use what you have, or better yet, if you have picky eaters, let them pick out the pasta noodles they like and watch them try to eat what is in front of them.

This is a pretty low key meal so for those just getting your kids on table food or if you are going to someone’s home and want to take a dish this one is sure to please.

This is what Elyse of Six Sisters Stuff has to say about her recipe.

My husband and kids LOVE anything with alfredo sauce. I whipped up these Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells in a matter of minutes and they ate it just as quickly! I love recipes that my picky eaters love!

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip:  If you don’t want to cook up a chicken go ahead and just buy a rotisserie chicken.

I just looked over the Sunday paper and saw the Target ads for all the adorable mix and match dorm room items. From comfy chairs, to throw pillows and desk organizers.

But you know one of the most important things your college bound kids need?

They need to know how to COOK!

Now it is true that many will be moving into a dorm room with other students and they will have a meal card that makes living on their own..almost like living at home, but sooner than later it is going to happen. They are going to have to start fixing their own food.

You would be surprised that many students going off to college do not know how to do laundry let alone do basic cooking.
Have no fear. If one of your kids is leaving the nest, or if you are getting ready to move out on your own and feel a bit anxious about the whole meal and food thing. This recipe is a great place to start.

Prep time is only 10 minutes and cook time is only 5!

The other thing about a great bare bones recipe like this one is that you can add all your favorite foods to make it yours. Love sun dried tomatoes and pesto? BAM..you just came up with something unique.

Since you can add veggies and even diced meats into this, just think, one big mug of this and your dishes are at a minimal as well.

This is what Sarah and Zach of Heels and Grills has to say about this quick and easy recipe

This Cream Cheese Garlic Alfredo is super quick and easy to whip up and tastes better than any restaurant Alfredo I’ve ever had! Made from butter, cream cheese, garlic powder, cream, and Parmesan – it tastes so good.

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip : I am always watching my calories, I try to substitute the cream for unflavored greek yogurt or half and half, but that is just my personal preference. See, I told you this was a great recipe for creating your favorite dish!

I don’t know what it is about blueberries and lemon, but this recipe really does take the CAKE!

Not only is this a fruit filled cake that would be a great edition to any table, this recipe can easily be made into smaller spring form pans..which I love to do!

There is something special about sharing home-baked goodies with others and a small spring form pan of blueberry lemon cake is sure to please anyone you know who could use a little TLC or even a Just Because I am Thinking Of You!

I also read where someone did a recipe and a half and used a bundt cake pan. Now that is creative!

That is the fun part of baking. Taking a recipe and adding your own little touch! In fact I think I have a tart pan I might bake this in and fill with whipped cream. Hello.. I think my oven Mixer is calling!  So many recipes ~ so little time!

Or..just surprise your family with this. They will totally thank you for it!

This is what Natasha says about her recipe.

This Blueberry Lemon Cake is loaded with 1 pound of blueberries and every bite has sweet pops of juicy blueberry and fresh lemon flavor. It’s not too sweet and not too tangy, but just right. This is my favorite tea/ coffee cake and it’s easy, easy, easy!!

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: If you can’t find fresh blueberries, go ahead and use frozen ones thaw, drain, and pat dry. Do not add more than 16 oz blueberries or they weigh down the cake.

Everyday is worth celebrating. Make this TODAY!

Pancakes were pretty standard in our family when I was growing up. In fact my dad was the Pancake King and and could make any image, shape, and object into his rendition of a pancake.

Some, I have to admit, looked amazing and we loved seeing what he came up with. Others looked a little on the Picasso side, but trying to guess what was on our plate before we poured on the maple syrup was always the best part.

Crapes are something we rarely had. I am not sure if it was because they were more of a dessert than a breakfast, or if my dad could’t make shapes out of them. I am a huge fan.
With strawberry season in full force, seriously just bought several baskets on sale at the grocery store for 99 cents each, who can resist making things that highlight that amazing fruit!

My daughter, Emma, is an awesome crepe maker. I think this recipe is one that she would totally approve of, in fact, I think I will surprise her and make some for their family the next time they visit!

When I found this recipe for strawberry filled crepes I decided to share it as is. I will often add a splash of white wine or a nice Pinot but as far as liquer, I will leave that up to your personal preference. Leave it in. Take it out. Whatever floats your apron up run with it.

This is what Karina of Cafe Delites has to say about her recipe.

These Crepes….these crepes! These Crepes with their hint of Vanilla…and those Strawberries with the hint of Orange liqueur, and that cream with a hint of love; have been all I can think about… I’m so in love with Strawberries and Cream.

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR THE INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: If strawberries are not in season, go ahead an replace with other fresh fruit or even a mix of fruit. Imagine raspberries and blueberries! Not sure how to say Yummo in French!

This dessert brings two favorite flavors together. A match made in heaven. Seriously.

It seems like there will always be a a commercial jingle that gets stuck in someones memory or a saying that just pops up in casual conversation.

Who can forget “Where’s the beef?” and even” Plop..plop..fizz ..fizz..ooh what a relief it is!”

Well I think this is a perfect example of marketing that has helped keep this classic candy on the top of any chocolate lovers list.

In the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup ads a peanut butter lover was always colliding with a chocolate lover. Bringing the two flavors together in a twist of fate type of hype.

As cheesy as some of the scenarios were, the truth of the matter is that something amazing happens when you combine those two distinct flavors and textures.

Be still my beating heart!

This is what Vera from Vera’s Kitchen Corner has to say about this twist on the classic candy treat.

If there’s nothing you love more in the world than the combination of chocolate and peanut butter you must try this Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake recipe! Oreo crust, creamy peanut butter cheesecake filling loaded with chocolate chips, milk chocolate ganache with a pile of chopped Reese’s cups on top=pure bliss!!!

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: If you are super pressed for time go ahead and buy a pre-made Oreo crust.
