Strawberry Fields Forever.!

What is not to love with this fresh fruit packed pastry!

I am seriously going to the store almost everyday. Why? We have milk, bread, eggs and so on but the thing we are running out of at an alarming rate are fresh strawberries!
The berries are ripe right now and I know exactly who has them on sale as well as which ones are the best. Since we are in Southern Ca, we happen to live in what once was considered the Strawberry Capital of the World.
The thing about fresh berries is that they don’t have a long shelf life.So it is better to buy them and make things or eat them right away..at least that is what I keep telling myself!

Since I have been writing up new recipes I am amazed at all the scrumptious recipes I am finding and can’t wait to try. I think I could make a new one everyday for the rest of the summer and barely scratch the surface.

As much as I thought I needed to chop up berries for baking, this recipe calls for the opposite. I might have to make several batches to perfect this recipe just to make sure I have it down pat. :~D

This is what Ashley for Baker by Nature has to say about these yummy strawberry scones!

Quick Tip: Since the butter needs to be really cold, go ahead and pop it in the freezer while you are getting everything ready to make this recipe. The colder the butter, the flakier the pastry!
