This Is The Best Banana Bread Recipe I Have Ever Made. You Will Not Want To Miss Out On This

When my kids see freckled bananas on the counter they get pretty excited. They know that those are the perfect ingredient to an awesome banana bread. In fact, I think they purposefully avoid eating the perfect bananas just so they will get freckled! Those stinkers! We have six kids and when they were growing up I would buy bananas by the bag full. The grocery store when I shopped usually had the single bananas and ones that were getting freckled in bags that marked down to 25 cents a pound. It was always a huge score and I would end up with enough to make 4 loaves! Now THAT is a great day.

  • 1 egg
  • 1⅛ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable or canola oil

    2. Add flour, baking soda and salt to a small bowl and set aside.
    3. Mix egg, sugar and oil and stir until well combined
    4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir well. The mixture will be thick and dry.

    6. Mix in walnuts and pour into a loaf pan.
    7. Cook 50-75 minutes, checking regularly until a knife comes out clean.

Quick Tip: If you have bananas that are getting freckled and you can’t make up banana bread right then, go ahead and peel them, mash them up and freeze them so all you have to do is let thaw and put them in the batter.
