The School Bell is About to Ring..so is the Dinner Bell!
This seems so much like the pasta recipe my mom made but it is a bit different because this recipe calls for sauce you get in a jar. HOW EASY IS THAT?!!
So on a night when you are running the kids to soccer practice, band practice, or whatever kind of after school program they are in, don’t fret. Dinner is just a few minutes away!
ONE POT SAUSAGE PENNE PASTA
Serves: 4 – 6 servings

- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 pound Penne Pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 24 oz jar Tomato Basil Sauce
- 1 cup milk
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- fresh basil for garnish, optional
DIRECTIONS
- Add sausage to a large pan over medium- high heat.
- Cook, stirring often until browned and crumbly.
- Add chicken broth, Tomato Basil Sauce and milk.
- Stir to combine. Add Barilla Penne and stir.
- Bring to a boil and cook, stirring often for 6-8 minutes until pasta is al dente.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Serve immediately.
Quick Tip: Bake these in small personal sized ramekins. When you need to reheat one up you already have a serving you can pop in the oven.
