I always have people ask if they can swap out beef for other meats. Hello? This is your dinner we are talking about. If you live for chicken and ground turkey, then, by all means, go ahead and switch it up. This is your food so play with it!

I love that this is also a finger food. Game night? No problem! Eat with your fingers!

Taco Crescent Roll Up

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix SAVE
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz) SAVE $
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives, taco sauce or salsa,

Directions:

  1.  Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef until no longer pink.
  2. Add taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup water.
  3. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened. In

  5. In a medium bowl, mix beef mixture and cheese.
  6. Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles.
  7. On ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form a 5-inch circle in center.  It will kind of look like a sunflower.
  8. Dough will overlap.
  9. Spoon beef mixture on the half of each triangle closest to center of ring.
  10. Bring each dough triangle up over filling, tucking dough under bottom layer of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little).
  11. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked.
  12. Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.

Quick Tip: This is one of the recipes that if you know you are going to make, plan to precook the meat will in advance. Cook once , eat twice! Pull the ziplock out of the freezer and you ready to go!
