This Sandwich Will Make Your Day

I think sandwiches are one of the most underrated foods out there. Believe me, I have made my share of sandwiches over the years!

They are totally portable, can be vegan, gluten free, and whatever you love can be added in!

From Peanut butter, banana, and Nutella to a classic twist on a Monte Cristo classic, a great sandwich just makes the day easier to get through!

I love being able to serve up toasted sandwiches as a side to homemade soups. Since I don’t love doing a lot of cooking on Sundays. Don’t judge me! It is my day off too!

Being able to make a great sandwich that is healthy and hearty is perfect.

This is what Renee has to say about this family favorite.

I can’t think of a better “grilled cheese” than this delicious and easy-to-make Monte Cristo Style Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I was first introduced to the Monte Cristo as a kid. This was one of my own mother’s quick, go-to meals when I was growing up, so as you can imagine, it sort of holds a special place in my heart.

Quick Tip: I love using different kinds of bread and think this might be great on a Rosemary garlic french bread. What do you think?

If you have teens who play sports, watching them eat, after practice is like watching a re-run of Wild Kingdom. And I am not talking about the Trumpeter Swans episode ;~)

Finding something that can be ready in 20 minutes and is budget friendly? Woot Woot!

It isn’t easy to feed a crowd.I am the mom of 6 kids. Feeding a crowd was just an everyday thing, so when friends came over it really became quite the ordeal to get food on the table. Serve this with a cut up watermelon, a bag of chips and you are good to go my friend. Happy kids.

Someways you know exactly what you are making for dinner or you may even plan to go somewhere, but even the best laid plans can change.  If you are a mom on the sidelines, going into overtime means needing to make adjustments.

Things can shift in the schedule and what you thought would be plenty of time to get lunch served before the next event or get dinner on the table is almost non-existent. It is a shuck

There is nothing worse than having to do a quick run down of what you have in the pantry or fridge for a quick meal. Pulling into a Drive Thru drive in can be a big expense.

You can have your meal ready and on the table before you can say “Ready. Set. Hike!”

This is what Alyssa of The Recipe Critic has to say about the recipe you friend Sabrina sent her.

In addition to being an easy and quick dish you can serve a large number of people. In addition that you don’t even need a large amount of ingredients so this dish is actually also inexpensive to make.

Quick Tip: This looks so amazing that I think I am going to try this with boneless skinless chicken breast as a good option to steak, or better yet! How about one of each!

This recipe really knocked it out of the park!

It seems like my crockpot only get used in the colder months at our house. Chili, stews, beans, but this recipe for pulled pork really hits it out of the park.

Feeding a large crowd isn’t always easy. I mean I have six kids and just trying to remember who likes mayonnaise, who doesn’t like mayo, who likes mayo and mustard, and who only wants mustard can be overwhelming. I used to make their sandwiches and write their name on the wrapper but then just made index cards with everyones name and when I made their sandwich I would place them on the card.

Having all the fixings for a hoagie roll sandwich is a great option whether you are feeding the masses or just a few.

Plus, there is nothing like coming home from all day soccer tournaments or swim meets and being met with the aroma of good cooking.

And knowing that lunch or dinner is going to be ready makes the temptation of pulling through a drive-thru a lot less. That is a huge savings on the family budget.

I love being able to make this ahead of time. When you know you ae going to be tight for time, this is great to put into an airtight container and toss it in cooler with the other ingredients.

This is what our friends at All Recipes posted about this family favorite.

“Slow cooked, Texas-style pulled pork that is served on a buttered and toasted roll. My family’s favorite.”

Quick Tip: Go ahead and make a big crock pot of this. Divide into quart sized bags and freeze for later.
