Big family? Slumber party? Family Reunion? This easy breakfast can get the day kicked off on the right foot!

We have 6 kids. That is a lot of laundry, a lot of band-aids, and A LOT of food.

I was always looking for recipes that I could fix on early soccer mornings, or days that we had to rush out the door. Who am I kidding..that would be about every single day!

We only have one child left at home since the others have flown the nest, but when everyone comes home, I still need to have great recipes that can feed a crowd. Three of our kids are married and now we have a few grands! So the crowd is getting bigger all the time!

This is what Gina, the food photographer, author & creative mind behind Kleinworth & Co.has to say about her go-to recipe.

Need an easy way to feed a crowd an awesome breakfast? These Sausage Egg Bacon Cheese Breakfast Sliders whip up quick, delicious, and will knock their socks off.

I would have never thought to include this ingredient. So glad I found this recipe before I made rolls again!

I have made breakfast rolls for years, but I had never thought to add cardamom. To be honest I don’t think I have added cardamom to anything. It is one of those spices in your spice rack that is still full when the others are empty.

Now that I have a good recipe, I think I might have to give it a twirl.

I love baking breads. The smell of the loaves when they are almost done baking never gets old. Ever.

One time my daughter, Amy, told me she had read a study that stated the smell of freshly baked bread heightened a person’s sense of well being. I believe it.

And for my family? There is nothing that helps my kids wake up on the RIGHT side of the bed as when they are roused from their dreams to homemade rolls, hot and fresh from the oven. Served with fruit and a glass of milk and they are set.

This is what Shiran has to say about this pan of yumminess!

I figured it couldn’t taste bad no matter what I put in there, so I threw in orange zest, chocolate, pistachios, hazelnuts, cardamom, and cinnamon. Then I waited forever for the rolls to be ready, and when they were just about done baking the incredible aroma nearly drove me crazy.

Quick Tip: Since there are no preservatives, this bread will not stay fresh as long as store bought. If you don’t plan to eat these right away, place them in a freezer bag until you are ready. Or you can pull one or two out the night before and they will be defrosted by breakfast.

This is a basic crock-pot 101 that nails it on flavor and versatility.

I really stink at using the crockpot, or slow cooker, as some of my sisters in the South call the handy-throw-everything-in-and-forget-about-it kitchen appliance.
I am not sure if I had a bad crock-pot experience as a child or what. Nothing that a few batches of cookies therapy won’t cure, but still. I really think it is because the only thing I knew how to make was the pot roast with onion soup mix, potatoes, and carrots. Not bad, but not something you want to eat very often. The potatoes and carrots were yummy, don’t get me wrong, but they were coated with a layer of grease from the meat. I felt like I should serve it with a kale smoothie as a clean-out for my system.

My crock-pot is in the top shelf all the way in the back, right next to the fondue pot. I need a chair to reach it and when I do, I usually have to wash the dust off before I can use it. I have considered several times giving it away but am always hopeful that “One Day I will get the hang of this and when I do it will make my life so much easier!”
Well, I think that day may have arrived!
I just purchased a huge tenderloin cylinder from Costco. The price was 1.99 a pound and it had a $2.50 discount per package at the register. Too good of a deal to pass up.

So, with renewed optimism,  I looked up recipes as soon as I got home. This one looked amazing.

This is what Juli at Flirting With Flavor has to say about this easy to create recipe that your family will love!

A sweet heat pulled pork with just the right amount of that fresh pineapple goodness, all cooked up in a crock-pot for long roasting depth of flavor and deliciousness!

Quick Tip: This is a perfect way to get your meat ready for a fun twist on enchiladas so go ahead and fill up a quart sized bag, label it, and put it in the freezer for later!

This recipe really knocked it out of the park!

It seems like my crockpot only get used in the colder months at our house. Chili, stews, beans, but this recipe for pulled pork really hits it out of the park.

Feeding a large crowd isn’t always easy. I mean I have six kids and just trying to remember who likes mayonnaise, who doesn’t like mayo, who likes mayo and mustard, and who only wants mustard can be overwhelming. I used to make their sandwiches and write their name on the wrapper but then just made index cards with everyones name and when I made their sandwich I would place them on the card.

Having all the fixings for a hoagie roll sandwich is a great option whether you are feeding the masses or just a few.

Plus, there is nothing like coming home from all day soccer tournaments or swim meets and being met with the aroma of good cooking.

And knowing that lunch or dinner is going to be ready makes the temptation of pulling through a drive-thru a lot less. That is a huge savings on the family budget.

I love being able to make this ahead of time. When you know you ae going to be tight for time, this is great to put into an airtight container and toss it in cooler with the other ingredients.

This is what our friends at All Recipes posted about this family favorite.

“Slow cooked, Texas-style pulled pork that is served on a buttered and toasted roll. My family’s favorite.”

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: Go ahead and make a big crock pot of this. Divide into quart sized bags and freeze for later.
