Love being able to make something everyone will love for dinner without making a mess? Yeah.. Me Too!

This is kind of crazy, but I have always wanted to take Tap Dance. Several Years ago I Signed up for class, but after I bought the tap shoes, convinced a friend to sign up with me, and made arrangements for my two young ones to be watched for an hour a week, I found out I was pregnant!

My doctor said as long as it wasn’t clogging I was okay to stay in the class, so I did. I tapped until a few weeks before I delivered. Put it this way, I couldn’t see my feet but I could hear them! And that was the end of my tapping.

Eighteen years later, I am signed up again and am having a total blast, but on Tap days it is nice to have something I don’t have to spend a lot of time preparing. And that is when this dish makes an entrance from stage right. (That is a little theater lingo I picked up.)

This is what Jo of Jo cooks has to say about this recipe.

Anyway, chicken and rice! Who doesn’t love a good chicken and rice casserole sorta dish. But the beauty here is that it’s all made in one skillet, quickly and before you know it dinner is ready to be served.

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip.. This is a great dish to toss in other veggies. I love adding thinly sliced carrots in for flavor, color, and texture!

WOW..could this dish get any better? Probably not, Sheer perfection.

There have been times I have been totally swamped and too busy to cook. We have just ordered take out from Panda Express, but seriously when I have had a day that requires “take -out” what I would really love better is to stay home, put my pajamas on just relax.

This recipe is so easy that I could make this fresh and the best part, I know that I can make enough for left overs.

I had no idea that ramen noodles didn’t come in a small shrink wrapped cube where the noodles get slimy when hot water is added. But NOT true. These noodles are easy to find in the refrigerator section of a grocery store near egg wrappers. Just follow the directions and you are on your way to a great meal!

Plus, knowing that high sodium isn’t in my take out food is a huge plus for me.

This is what Chungah of Damn Delicious says about this super yummy dish.

Everyone’s favorite beef and broccoli turned into the easiest stir fry noodles EVER! It’s even better as leftovers!

Quick Tip: Feel free to add in some carrot slivers and zucchini slices to beef up vegetables.

This Italian twist on a classic flavor will knock your socks off!

Boxed Mac and Cheese is quick and cheap. It is something that starving college students have in their pantry next to the top Ramen noodles.

The bright yellow powder you mix into the hot noodles is not what I would call appetizing. You don’t have to settle. Get creative, but use REAL ingredients!

I love homemade baked macaroni and cheese. It goes with so many things and is such a classic! Plus there are so many variations of it!

When we were kids my mom used to make homemade mac and cheese. It was heavenly.  But, sometimes even great things need a bit of refreshing and I think this recipe might just be the make-over I was looking for. Not so much of a change that it feels like a totally different recipe, but enough of a difference that you stop and think, “Whoa, what did I just put in my mouth?

Not so much of a change that it feels like a totally different recipe, but enough of a difference that you stop and think, “Whoa, what did I just put in my mouth?

In fact, the last time I made this I took it a step further and added a fistful of fresh spinach that I cut into thin ribbons, and diced up Italian Squash. What a great way to get in extra nutrition and it really made the dish beautiful.

My daughter makes a recipe like this and the last time she added broccoli and diced ham. Really this can be a one-dish wonder!

As in I Wonder why I didn’t make this sooner!

This is what Amy of The Idea Rome has to say about this family friendly Mac and Cheese.

So cheesy and full of flavor, this is a mac and cheese recipe the whole family will love…especially the adults! It also is a meal that doesn’t take a lot of time to prepare, so you can whip it up on those crazy weeknight evenings.

Quick Tip: Let your kids help pick out their favorite shape of pasta, it might be a spiral or a bow-tie, but if they get to pick it out, chances are they will eat it.

Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry that is Fresh and EASY.

The only thing missing is the chopsticks and fortune cookie, but seriously, you can get those at the grocery store. The best part about this recipe is that it tastes just as good the following day heated up for lunch.

Our kids loved it when I served broccoli beef or orange cashew chicken and had a set of chopsticks next to their fork.

It was entertaining to see them carefully pick up their food and get it to their mouths before dropping it in front of themselves. I have to admit they also ate much slower.

Even if they ended up using their fork, they still had fun trying.

If you don’t happen to have fresh broccoli you can always use frozen, but fresh is a bit tastier. I have also added thin strips of carrots just to add some color and texture.

Plus, if you have picky eaters, being able to give them a second vegetable choice is a good decision.

This is what Chris has to say about this recipe.

I clipped this recipe from Taste of Home magazine several years ago and have found it to be the best-tasting easy beef and broccoli stir-fry.  I like that it doesn’t call for any unusual ingredients.

Quick Tip: You can also use chicken in place of beef, and toss in some cashews.

“Too Much Of a Good Thing Can Be Wonderful.”  Mae West

Chances are that Mae West was not talking about garden fresh vegetables. Don’t get me wrong, I love fresh fruits and vegetables, but sometimes they can be a bit overwhelming.

My husband, John, has been our family gardener and usually has a small plot or above ground planters of beets, zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, and peppers growing.

If you have ever had a garden you know zucchini plants can get a little over zealous in their production.

It becomes a case of “too much of a good thing” can be Too Much!

There was a time when we used to bring baskets of fresh produce to the church and set it on a table with a sign that read. “Free to ANY home!”

I baked bread, we had stir fry, I sauteed, baked and even made jam out of the zucchini we raised one year.

This recipe is great to have on hand. Whether you have bushels of zucchini growing in your garden, or buy it at the local farmers market or supermarket, this recipe is a great way to use those veggies.

If you can get your kids to eat more veggies, then this day is like one of those rare epic moments that you finish folding laundry and all the socks match. SCORE for the home team!

Quick Tip; This recipe calls for eggplant. Feel free to replace it with another zuccini or squash.

This Recipe Is Sooooooo Popular That It’s Been Pinned On Pinterest 640,000 Times!

Most of your modern day Japanese dishes come from the Edo era between the years of 1603 and 1867. At least the most well known ones.

During the Edo Era there were a lot of changes taking place in Japan. With urbanization beginning to take place it introduced changes in farming methods and, new ingredients began being imported into Japan.

One of the most famous of all modern day Japanese dishes are the Teriyaki dishes. You can purchase Teriyaki bowls in almost every food court in every mall across the country.

Most historians would probably agree that Teriyaki was introduced into Japanese cuisine around the seventeenth century. Most likely because many of the traditional methods of roasting and grilling meat were introduced at right about that same time.

During the 1960’s in the United States is when Teriyaki first became popular in North America. This is when Japanese restaurants began popping up all over the country.

There are literally hundreds of variations of Teriyaki Sauce today. Chefs have tried virtually every different combination of ingredients possible in order to come up with the best Teriyaki sauce.

I personally have tried a gazillion of them but this is probably the best one I have ever found.

If this is what a salad looks like all I can say is Bring it on!

Enticing my kids to eat their vegetables is like trying to turn cleaning their room into a game. It only works if you are Mary Poppins!

Packed with vegetables, crisp apples, craisins, and walnuts this is as satisfying to the taste buds as it is pleasing to the eye.

Face it, I haven’t heard very many people say the eat too many vegetables, but with a recipe like this, getting your tribe to eat their greens won’t be too difficult. In fact, they might even ask for a second helping!

USE THE RED NEXT PAGE LINK BELOW FOR THE INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: Mix up salad, put in a large Zip-Loc bag, and keep in refrigerator until you are ready to use. Then just pour in dressing, shake and put into a bowl for serving.

Fix it and Forget it! Now That Is The Ultimate Convenience

It takes a lot of juggling to keep up with everyone’s busy schedules. As a mom of six kids, I remember hectic days when it felt like we lived in the car!  And I know I am not the only one who wonders how she can be so busy and yet never feel like she never gets enough accomplished. Is that you?

I see you out there..nodding your head “Yes!”

While life can feel like a merry-go-round on warp speed, there are things that come up that we don’t want to miss. Life is too short not to live it the fullest.

The last thing you want to do after a long day is worry about what you are fixing for dinner. Time to pull out the crock pot! You can put this chicken in before you leave the house, so all you have to do is steam some rice and veggie and dinner is served!
