This 5 ingredient treat is a DREAM!

Whether I am wanting something to serve with breakfast, or just a little treat to go with coffee, this is a so easy to make that if unexpected guests stop by you can have these hot out of the oven by the time the coffee has brewed and is being poured.

One time I ended up with a whole house full of guests. I hadn’t been to the store for a few days and my cookie jar was totally empty.

Being resourceful, I quickly popped several pieces of bread into the toaster and and made cinnamon toast triangles! Not the classiest, but how can you go wrong with butter and cinnamon?

Oh how I wish I had a batch of these in the freezer! And if you are limited on space, you can always freeze a cup of cream and keep in the freezer so at least you have the ingredients on hand!
Kaylene said she also tried this with sugar free lemonade and it tasted great so for a lower calorie option I might have to give that a try.

This is what Kaylene of The Link Site says about her easy scone recipe.

They’re packed with fruit, simple to make, and you only need 5 ingredients! These Fruit Scones also freeze really well, so if you want to make up a big batch and then put some in the freezer you can! I hope you enjoy these fruit scones as much as my family and I do!

It really should be called Str-ahhh-berry Shortcake.

I am pretty sure I have been eating strawberry shortcake my whole life.

I wouldn’t say I am an official connoisseur, but when your grandmothers from both sides of the family are amazing cooks and they live in Salinas, CA which can practically grow strawberries year round, you tend to develop a taste for a really good shortcake.

My grandparents always had a garden and in the coastal weather, something was always growing. Beans, corn, lemons, onions, artichokes, and strawberries. The garden plot was almost the same square footage as the small house they had built.

They left Kansas during the dust storms with all their belongings to a valley where they hoped to find jobs, a place to set down roots, and build a future for their family.

And they did.

One of the first things my grandparents did was to plant a garden. The shelves were always lined with canned goods, the freezer full of produce, and when we went to their home, we always knew something amazing would be served.

I think my grandmother would have loved this recipe.

This is what Liz Berg of This Skinny Chick Cooks has to say about her recipe.

I have served these gorgeous shortcakes on numerous occasions. When strawberries are in season, this recipe for Strawberry Shortcake with White Chocolate Whipped Cream will wow your company. Or just treat your family to a delectable dessert!

Quick Tip: You can make the shortcakes and the chocolate mousse ahead ahead. If you are serving company, not having to do extra work, or clean up is great.

Well I think this is a perfect example of marketing that has helped keep this classic candy on the top of any chocolate lovers list.

In the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup ads a peanut butter lover was always colliding with a chocolate lover. Bringing the two flavors together in a twist of fate type of hype.

As cheesy as some of the scenarios were, the truth of the matter is that something amazing happens when you combine those two distinct flavors and textures.

Be still my beating heart!

This is what Vera from Vera’s Kitchen Corner has to say about this twist on the classic candy treat.

If there’s nothing you love more in the world than the combination of chocolate and peanut butter you must try this Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake recipe! Oreo crust, creamy peanut butter cheesecake filling loaded with chocolate chips, milk chocolate ganache with a pile of chopped Reese’s cups on top=pure bliss!!!

GO TO THE NEXT PAGE FOR INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: If you are super pressed for time go ahead and buy a pre-made Oreo crust.
